Who we are
PlaceMyOrder provides ordering software for independent food sellers. Each shop runs its own private storefront shared by link or QR code.
Information we collect
- Seller accounts: name, email, password (stored hashed), and shop details you provide.
- Customer accounts: name, email, phone, password (stored hashed), and tab balances per shop where enabled.
- Orders: customer name, phone, delivery details, items ordered, and payment method (pay now or tab).
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, request metadata) for security and rate limiting.
How we use information
We use data to operate the service: authenticate users, process orders, manage tabs, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. Shop owners can see order and customer information for their own shop only.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Order details are shared with the shop you order from. We use infrastructure providers (hosting, database, file storage) who process data on our behalf under their terms.
Retention
Account and order data is kept while your account or shop is active and as needed for legal, tax, or dispute purposes. You may request deletion of a customer account by contacting us.
Security
Passwords are hashed. Sessions use HTTP-only cookies. Sensitive seller banking details are not exposed on public shop pages.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Contact the shop you ordered from for order-specific requests, or reach out to us for platform account issues.
